The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC has been announced, grouped together as The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which contains two adventures – The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.

Each part of the Scarlet and Violet DLC will not only take you on new Pokémon adventures, but will also introduce you to new Pokémon and see the return of over 230 Pokémon from previous generations.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC Part Two: The Indigo Disk will be released on Thursday 14th December 2023.

This includes both The Indigo Disk storyline set in Blueberry Academy and the conclusion to the overall Hidden Treasure of Area Zero storyline, which sees you explore the depths of Paldea’s mysterious Area Zero.

Part One: The Teal Mask was released earlier in the year on Wednesday 13th September.

The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC consists of two different adventures: The Teal Mask, and The Indigo Disk. Since we’re currently awaiting the release of The Indigo Disk, let’s begin there…

The second Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Indigo Disk, is set to release Thursday 14th December 2023 and includes:

Travelling to new school Blueberry Academy, which most of is located under the ocean, and its curriculum emphasises Pokémon battling. Here the storyline from The Teal Mask will continue as your reunited with Carmine and Kieron who has undergone an attitude change. Eventually, you’ll find yourself exploring the depths of Area Zero, finding a crystal tree and tunnel at some point, as you investigate the mystery surrounding Terapagos and, hopefully, discover the true motives of Briar.Explore the four biomes of Blueberry Academy – savannah, coastal, canyon and polar.There will be new classes to take at Blueberry Academy.Battle the BB League, which is a new league of student trainers you can battle. They even have their own Elite Four made up of Lacey, Crispin, Amarys and Drayton. You need to complete Elite Trails before you can face these trainers though, with one granting your Miraidon/Koraidon the ability to fly!

More returning Pokémon from past generations that were not included in the base game (230 in total over the two DLCs). This includes starter Pokémon and legendaries – venture further into this guide to find a full list of every returning Pokémon we’ve spotted so far.New Legendary Pokémon Terapagos.New Paradox Pokémon, Raging Bolt and Iron Crown.It also includes the new Pokémon Archaludon, which evolves from Duraludon.After completing the overall storyline for the DLC, you’ll be able to meet Snacksworth at Blueberry Academy and, by finishing Blueberry Quests in the Terarium, you’ll earn snacks which will allow you to encounter legendary Pokémon from past generations across Paldea.

New outfit.New characters (including Trainer Lacey and Blueberry Academy director Cyrano).The League Club – a room within Blueberry Academy which you can customise and can change your Poké Ball throwing style.Ability to invite trainers, such Gym Leaders, from the main campaign to be your special instructor and learn more about their backstories. They may even want to trade with you.After assisting a scientist with her experinment in the Terarium, you’ll be able to use the Synchro Machine. This will let you control a Pokémon, exploring at least the Blueberry Academy biomes and battling Pokémon.You’ll be able to unlock Koraidon or Miraidon’s (Pokémon dependant on version) ability to fly at some point after completing Amarys’ Elite Trail.The trailer released on Thursday 7th December 2023 included footage of a player group hunting down and finding Ditto Bricks. At the time of writing, it’s unknown whether this is exclusive to co-op play.
Another new outfit and Trainer Kieron.

During The Indigo Disk you’ll be invited to visit Blueberry Academy as an exchange student. Once at the school, you’ll be able to explore the four biomes where you can catch Pokémon and battle against the BB League. Before you can fight the Elite Four of the BB League, however, you’ll need to complete their Elite Trails.
